This is a very simple Addon which allows to globally toggle GIF animations.
You have to reload the current page to see the effect. If you want to automate this, you can find an option for this in the Add-on's settings.
This Add-on also optionally includes a context menu entry for images to stop individual animations. To use this, you have to enable this feature in the Add-on's settings and grant the required permission there.
