Patronus sits in the background of your gmeet and uses the subtitle feature to look out for the keywords. If any one of them is mentioned it sends you a desktop notification.
To use this addon:
- Enable subtitles (CC)
- In the browser bar UI - set the keywords and interval
- Keywords are the words that should be searched for. Case and punctuation are ignored when matching keywords.
- Interval is how often the search will be run (in milliseconds). I've found that 1 second (1000 ms) is very reliable. (A value more than 10s will often miss words)
- Click the toggle switch to enable Patronus (it won't check for anything unless this is on)
- You'll be notified when one of the keywords is found
I've found a bug / thought up a useful feature / want to help out with the code - what do I do?
