The goal of this extension is to make the VeeHD.com experience as user-friendly as possible without changing the "brand that is veehd". No major cosmetic theme changes, simply "enhanced". Most commonly used info is a click away. All site bugs that can be fixed client side has been done. Many features have been added to "enhance" the basic functionalility of the site for all, including special features for uploaders and normal users alike. A couple examples... on video pages, you now have a choice of using HTML5 video player, DivX Web Player, or VLC Web Plugin instead of just Flash. Optional player options will appear only if installed, enabled and supported by the browser. For uploaders... streamlined video edit page, enhanced overview page with many helpful features such as video sorting, filtering and statistics (new views, avg video size etc). This is a VERY small example and there are a huge amount of obvious and not so obvious helpful enhancements.

The following is a list of every change made to VeeHD.com using VeeHD Enhanced:

All Pages

• Added various "hover" and "active link" effects throughout the site. Too numerous to detail here.
• Removed obsolete Channels button.
• Added "Recent", "Popular" and "Featured" links to links menu (above search box).
• Added a "Search in..." dropdown next to the "normal" search button.
  Search tags and also google search of forum, profiles and video.
  Google searches go through http://blankrefer.com for a little more privacy.
• New items (number greater than 0) are colored green for new messages, private timeline and dashboard numbers.
• Added a "Back to Top" link next to "DMCA Complaint" in the bottom bar.
• Added a "Down to Bottom" link at the top of the page.
• Added "Down to Bottom" and "Back to Top" links on the far left and right (center) of the browser.
• Lightened the "last event was 50 seconds ago" text (above the "Users logged in" box) for better visibility.
• Lightened (and added light blue hover color) to the "Privacy Policy / Terms" links (at very bottom of page) for better visibility.
• Changed the page/tab title that appears on certain pages to be more informative.
• Added a "quick login" box in the mini dashboard (replaces the big login button).
• If users access the site secured (https), then the extension will respect this and use https (where possible).
• Logins are now done secured (https).
• Disabled autoplay of YouTube vids in forum posts, profiles, PMs and video comments.
  Autoplay vids will have an orange border that tells you that autoplay has been blocked.
• YouTube vids in a private message are resized to fit the pm width or width of quotes if inside of one.
• All YouTube object/embeds site-wide are now replaced with the newest YouTube iframe code that will autoselect using flash or html5 based upon the viewing device/browser's support.
• Added a "HTTPS" link at the top of the page if site is loaded using HTTPS.
  Clicking it, reloads the page using HTTP. Hover text has info/explanation.

All Video Search Results Pages

• Put a copy of the "jump to page" links bar at the top of page.
• Removed obsolete "related popular" links in "Tags Info" box.
• Added background images for "effect".
• Colored the "divx" and "flash" indicators (green and orange) for better visibility.
• Added an "edit video" link IF the vid is yours. Test on "My Videos"...
• Added "+ to my collection" link.
• Added small avatar of uploader.
• Colored video stats line a dim yellow.
• All long titles with no spaces now wrap and NOT run off the page to the right.

Search Results Page (not tag search)

• Added "all - flash - divx" sorting links with result counts.
• Added ability to sort results alphabetically as well as normally.

Tag Search Results Page

• Added a "Toggle popular/alphabetically" link in "Tag refine" section.

Recent, Popular and Featured Pages

• Added "all - flash - divx" sorting links.
  Sorting by flash or divx effectively gets you 100 (instead of 50) results.
• Added a "Next" icon/link in the page jump if you are on page 5.
  This allows you to view an unlimited amount of these page results.

Friends and Fans Pages

• Fixed "by name" link. Works on all pages now.
• Title of "Fans" page incorrectly said "Friends". Fixed.
• All avatars are resized. No more oversized avatars covering the "remove" and "+to friends" links.
• Fans and Friends "boxes" (avatar/name etc) are all centered and long names wrap instead of stretching into another "box".
• Added a "send pm" link to each fan and friend.
• Issue: If you have more than 17 pages of friends/fans the page jump is limited to 17 pages.
  Added a "Next" icon/link in the page jump if you are on page 17. Allows you to view ALL your friends/fans.
  Added an orange "total page count" (if you have more than 17 pages) next to the amount of friends/fans.
• Friends Page ONLY: Changed color of "remove" link for better visibility.

Who's Online Page

• Member "boxes" (avatar/name etc) are all centered and long names wrap instead of stretching into another "box".
• The "All - With Avatar" links change to gray(current page) or blue.

Inbox and Outbox

• Inbox: Increased width/height of text area when replying to a private message.
• Outbox: Replaced the avatar with the avatar of the member that you sent the message to.
  Makes it easier to find certain pms this way.
• Added "Inbox" or "Outbox" next to "Messages" so you know where you are.
• You can now change the title/subject of a pm reply.
  You are no longer forced to use "re: re: re: re: title".
  A "title box" will appear just above where you type your message.
• Smilies now appear where they should within PMs. Not forced to the left...
• Images are now shown their original size up to the width of the pm (no tiny thumbnails)
  EXCEPT for pics inside quotes, they are limited to 40px height.
• Added nice shadow effects to the "tool bar" and quotes.
• Changed color of "reply" link to green for better visibility.
• Put a copy of the "jump to page" links bar above messages.
• Fixed Outbox "last page link bug". Occurred when page links bar has a " ... " in it.
• Added a "remove" link (an "x" image) next to "Subject" beside the avatar.
• Added checkboxes to select multiple messages for deletion.
• Added a "Select All" checkbox.
• Added a dropdown (sorted alphabetically) with the users on the current page which selects messages by that user.

Bookmarks

• Gave all private and nsfw tags the same style as you see everywhere else. ie NOT "[private1]".
• All "removed" videos are very obvious with a big red "REMOVED" over the thumbnail and title is also red.
• Ability to compact and expand bookmarks.
• Added an "ALL" link in the mini-dashbard next to "Bookmarks".
  Allows you to view all bookmarks on one page.
  When viewing "All", you can also sort the list alphabetically.
  • Added a "live" title filter to only show videos starting with or containing whatever you type in the box.
  • Added a "link list" button next to the filter box. This shows a list of filtered (visible) links from the page.
    You can choose title only, url, ubbc and html formatting.
    Useful for sharing your links or saving to a text file for your own purposes.
    For example, use the html option. Copy/paste the list into a text file and save as .html.
    You can then open that file in your browser with all your bookmarks as clickable links.
• Added checkboxes to select multiple bookmarks for deletion.
• Added link to select "removed" bookmarks (bookmarks of removed videos).
• Added a "Select All" checkbox.
• Changed color of "remove" link for better visibility.

Mini Dashboard

• Replaced "Edit profile/ Log out" links with Visible/Invisible indicator.
• Added links to Log out, Edit Profile, Outbox, Compose, Private vids and Public Timeline sort links (Vids,Comments).
• The number next to "Messages" (if greater than 0) is now a link to your unread messages.
• Added "Overview" link. Changed "My Videos" to "My Vids" so the new link would fit.
• Removed the original "Fans" box. Removed "Friends" link. Converted "Friends" and "Fans" text to links in top box.

Login Page

• Set Focus to (put cursor in) Username field.

Video Page

• Posting a comment does not reload vid page and the comments refresh after it is added! SWEET!
• Comments are now expanded to the full width of the comment section.
• Added a "pm" link next to each poster/member name (except if you) and brightened poster name.
• Moved "non title" info to a second line.
  Added video resolution, file size, type and uploader.
• Added a "More" link next to uploader in the new second line (see above).
  This allows you to browse the uploaders videos without going to their profile first.
• Added a PM link next to uploader name (in video info section).
• Replaced obsolete "Related" button with "Lights" button.
  Replaced "lights" code with my own to fix a veehd bug.
• Changed "flag" link color (and text) to Red for better visibility.
• Added two small image buttons over the video.
  The first allows you to cycle through all available preview pics.
  The second, toggles the preview pic size (Actual size/Default).
• You can now see and cycle preview pics of private videos.
• Video title is now colored a "dirty yellow".
• The server and cluster is now listed above the video to the right.
  If the vid is on a known bad server and cluster, it will appear as bold red.
  This is also a download link to the vid. Click to see the link or
  right-click for "Copy Link" and "Save Link As" options.
• Added HTML5 video player option for "flash" vids if the browser supports h264 video tag. Also, if you have Divx Plus Web Player (not older versions) and/or VLC Web Plugin installed and ENABLED then icons will appear at the top right corner of the preview pic for one or both.
  They will appear on all vids (divx and flash) allowing you the choice to use those players instead of the default flash player. HTML5 player icon will only appear on flash vids.

Edit Video Page

• Enlarged (width/height) inputs and text areas.
• All video options (without radio buttons) are now in one row at the top of the page and with a gradient background.
• Updated/added info in the access control section (click the "what is this?" link).
• Embedding option defaults to "disabled" when you edit a non-published video.
• Added a "Prohibited Characters: Check Replace" line in the "Description" title.
• Alphabetized friend names in "Gift to friend" dropdown and it is visible by default.
• Corrected spelling of the word "seperated" in the Tags and Links info (it bugged me!).
• Added a border/color highlight of selected video options (also changes when you change option choice).
• Added a bar just above thumbnails. Click it to show a larger image the same size that will
  be displayed on the video page. Single Click the image to cycle preview pics.
• The "delete this video" link is now a nice red button moved a bit to the right of the "Save" button to help prevent accidental clicks.
• If you have gifted a vid and it has not yet been accepted, then that info will appear at the top of the edit page.
• Added an "Import/Export" link just above "Basic video information:".
  Clicking it displays a box that contains title, description, tags and links from the page using "pseudo" UBBC tags.
  Here is my typical useage:
  I edit a video normally. Publish the video. Go back to edit page. Click Import/Export.
  Right-click in the box (it automatically selects all) and copy. I then save that to a text file. If I need to reup the same vid, I simply find the entry (ctrl-f) in my text file, copy that section, go to the new video edit page, open the Import/Export box. Right-click and paste into the box. Then click the "Click here to fill this page with the above data." link and all fields will be filled instantly.

Dashboard

• If you have uploaded vids transferring or ready to publish, they will be hidden and a bar appears with the number of problem, transferring and publishable vids in the bar. Click the bar to hide/show the vid list.
  This streamlines your timeline. Especially if you hold onto vids to publish later.
• For unpublished vids: Added a "Toggle default/alphabetically" link to sort your non-published vids alphabetically. VERY convenient to see what episodes you have in a series before publishing.
  
• Added a "Down to Unpublished" link if you have vids transferring and unpublished vids.
• Enlarged/enhanced "You received a gift!" and "Your gift has been sent!" so you can't miss it.

Profile Page

• Added links to user videos (and private) at the top of the page inside the user info box.
• If you view a profile of a member you have blocked,
  a red bar will appear at the top of the profile that says: "You are currently blocking this member."
• Oversized images are now resized after they all load.
• Avatars wider than 200px are forced to 200px width.
• You can now change the look of your profile. Use background image(s) or color.
  Change the color/size/font of the text and more. You need to add an empty link with standard CSS style statements in it.
  Use "profileall" to style the entire page (not the mini dash)
  Use "profilemain" to style only the middle section (Only your profile. NOT mini dash/avatar section and 5 most popular vids at bottom).
  There must NOT be any spaces in the CSS. Remove them. Some CSS requires spaces.
  Just replace them with .
  Example: border:1px solid #300; should be border:1px solid #300;
  Here are some examples with a repeating background image.

  NOTE: Only users of Veehd Enhanced will see your "new" profile. All others will see the normal profile.

Edit Profile Page

• Enlarged (width/height) inputs and text areas.
• Added "Nude and/or pornographic avatars are prohibited." warning in Red.
• Sections are now separated with background color so you know which "submit" button to use for that section.

Upload Page

• Added an "X" icon link to the upper-right corner of the "Upload Info" box.
  This hides the info box to reclaim some page real estate.
• Upload button is now blue.
• Made a "Nicer" progress bar with blue gradient and centered percentage in arial font.
• Added "files in queue", "total file size in queue" info.
• Added "In Queue Time Remaining" to the left of the "Add" button. This only appears if more than 1 vid is uploading to give you a ballpark estimate of time remaining for all items in queue based upon current avg speed.
• Completed upload and stats are added underneath filequeue. Colored green/red for successful/failed.
  Hover over the list for combined stats of all uploaded files.
• Added a "Normal/Reversed" button above uploaded files box. This toggles the display order of the uploaded files list.
• Fixed veehd "Add Files" bug.
  The Issue: Add more than 4 files to the upload queue. Remove one of them. The "Add Files" button no longer worked.
• Added ability to remove any error message rows. Simply click the error row to remove it.

Janitor Video Listing Page

• Added a "Are you sure? There is no undo!" confirmation prompt if you click "remove".
• Edited text for correct grammer.
• Added a "Delay All" link.

Overview Page

• Page loads sorted, showing "recent" vids first.
• Replaced the veehd sorting links (they aren't needed) with running totals
  from the page in the same style and colors as you see at the top of your dashboard.
• Added extra info line with average video size and views. "Avg video is xx.xMb with x views".
• Added an info line giving you the amount of views your vids have received since you last loaded the overview page.
• Any vids with new views, the views number is highlighted in a range of colors.
  Hover over the "views" for the exact amount.
• Added a "New Views" checkbox with color legend. Click/check to display only vids with new views.
• If any videos have been removed since you last loaded the overview page,
  a notice with a box with the removed vid titles will appear at the top of the page.
• Each column toggles sort/reverse sort.
• Added a "live" filter to only show videos starting with or containing whatever you type in the box.
  Clear the box to show all vids again. This is pretty sweet!
• Added a link list button next to the filter box. This shows a list of filtered (visible) links from the page.
  You can choose text, url, ubbc and html formatting with optional file size, server/hub and/or views included.
  Useful for sharing your links or saving to a text file for your own purposes.
  For example, use the html option. Copy/paste the list into a text file and save as .html.
  You can then open that file in your browser with all your vids as clickable links.
• Stats line (x views from x videos etc) updates when you filter your vids.
• Added Server and Hub sorting and selection dropdowns.
• Changed "remove" link to just "X" to save room.

Forum

• Added background images for "effect".
• Added the avatar of the poster in the board lists. Also changed the alternating row color to a nice gradient.
• Added a "New Post" link at the top of the page.
• Posts made by mods are "highlighted" a deep blue and text is a light orange.
• Added a "link" link next to "report" that will jump to that particular post and not just to the page.
• Added a "reply" link in each post. When clicked, scrolls down to the reply box and gives focus to it.
• Oversized images are now resized after they all load.
• Changed color of "back to forum/overview" link (at bottom next to "Reply/New Post") for better visibility.
• Above the "reply" box, I changed the small, dark grey "Re: TOPIC".
  I made it bigger/bold and changed the color to orange for better visibility.
• Added a "Topic: THREAD TITLE" bar to the top of thread pages (so you always know the topic).
• Changed the flat, grey background of the "Posts/Replies/Last Activity" bars to a gradient (looks nicer IMHO).
• "@username" and smilies now go into the "edit" box (if opened) instead of "reply".
• Added extra icons just above "forum markup". Clicking these automatically adds the ubb code to your reply or edit box. The code is added at the current cursor position and not to the end of your message.
  If you highlight text, the ubb code is put around (before and after) the highlighted text.
  Smilies are also now inserted in a post at the cursor position.
  
  NOTE: The new "UBBC bar" will also appear when you edit posts in the forum (also with the dropdown) and in video comments/replies, new PM/replies, dashboard quick reply, and on the edit profile page.
• When editing a post, default textarea is larger (still resizable).
  After you submit your changes, it will go to your post instead of to the first page of the thread. NICE!
• Added a dropdown next to the UBBC with an alphabetical list of posters on that page so you can add "@ poster" to your post.
• Added a "Latest threads you have participated in" bar at the top of forum pages.
  It will appear after you make your first post after installation.
  It contains links (and date/time) to the latest 15 threads you posted in.
  Expand/collapse the list by clicking on the bar.
  The list is user specific. Each veehd account (on the same pc and browser) has it's own list.
  
  NOTE: Currently this only works for replies.
  If you create a new topic, that thread is not added correctly to the list (yet).
• Added links to all boards at the top of all forum pages except the main forum page.
• Hidden posts text is now dark red for better visiblity and the links beside it, now line up (vertically) with it.
  They also have a red border so that you know that it is a hidden post after it has been expanded.
• Added experimental support for imgur gifv images.
• If a thread contains hidden posts, a "+ Show Hidden" link will appear in the Topic bar (at the top of the thread) to show/hide all hidden posts on that page.
