This AddOn do not manage your bookmarks, but you can synchronize your bookmarks with your selhosted backend by using the WebApp. This backend is available at SyncMarks-Webapp.

This AddOn is compatible with Chromium based browsers, including Chrome, Edge and Kiwi Browser on Android. You can sync bookmarks across this browsers.

Limitations:

• Bookmark API isn't working on Firefox Android (Bug). As a workaround, the Addon send a bookmark to the backend when you click on the AddOn button.
• Clicking the notification is not working on Android.(Bug)
• The settings page is not working as expected on Firefox Android.(Bug)
• Requesting optional permissions is not working on Android.(Bug)

Permissions explained:

• Access your data for all websites: You can install and use the backend on your own server. Therefore, the URL of your backend is unknown to me. To reach your backend, the AddOn must coomunicate with your backend. Only the URL you definded in the settings will be requested.
• Read and modify bookmarks: This AddOn syncs your bookmarks and need access to them.
• Display notifications: The AddOn uses notifications to alert you about errors occured or to notify you about pushes send from other clients to you.
