A webextensions add-on to obtain search results directly from the URL bar.
No need to first go to the search results page (unless you need more results and their descriptions, etc., in which case, that is also made available).
Instructions
- Type `g` and a space to activate Enumerate.
- Type your search terms.
- Use the arrows or mouse to select one of the search results to go directly to that page.
There is an extension option to remove the "Go to the full search results" entry, allowing one more search result to be made visible. (Note that the browser enforces a limit of 6 items, including the add-on-specific instructions line, so there is currently no way to expand this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1375252 .)
For site-specific search (of the site in the current tab), see Enumerate-Site. Install
