The Integral Signature Receiver Extension is only valid when used in combination with Certara's Integral Web application.
Certara's Integral application is an FDA 21-CFR-11 compliant repository for storing data used in drug research.
21-CFR-11 compliance requires digital signatures for tracking a complete audit trail of regulated actions.
Integral uses Okta for Identity Management, and also federates authentication through Okta to a variety of other Identity providers. This enables SSO (single-sign on) for basic access to the system.
In the case of acquiring digital signatures, Integral must require the user to re-enter credentials to obtain a signature token. Since Integral supports SSO, by default the Okta widget will bypass the requirement to re-enter credentials if a user has already been authenticated.
To require users to re-enter credentials, this extension allows Integral to display the Okta widget in Incognito mode, thus ignoring prior SSO credentials (cookies), and forcing the user to re-enter credentials to obtain a signature token.
